Kelly's Stamping-Friends-Blog-Hop

Woohoo!....The lovely Kelly Kent is celebrating her 5 year Stampin Up! milestone. I have the privilege of serving on 3 design teams with Kelly and let me say she is an inspiration and one of the sweetest and generous people you could wish to meet.
Kelly, l look forward to the next five years of inspiration and friendship as you follow your Stampin Up! journey. xx

So to celebrate in style, Kelly has created a Blog Hop filled with some amazingly talented Stampin Up! demonstrators.
The brief for this hop was "HAPPY". With that in mind l've gone with fun new colours and flowers, both of these make me very happy!  I'm sure you will find a ton of inspiration from everyone using a variety of new and current SU products.
If you have been happily hopping you would have just arrived from the blog of the lovely Danielle Bennenk. But if not, you can continue along by clicking the "Next" banner below to see all of the fab inspiration.

For my project, l have inked up the lovely "Tranquil Tulips" hostess set, available with a qualifying order as of tomorrow...Who doesn't love free..:0)
The colours l have used are two of the yummy new 2017/19 In Colours...Lemon Lime Twist & Berry Burst.
To create the giftbag, l used a piece of  cardstock 8.1/4" X 10" in Lemon Lime Twist and followed the directions on the Giftbag Punch Board for the small size.

I really enjoyed playing with this set, but l must say Lemon Lime Twist is not a fun colour to photograph, especially in dull Melbourne weather....Hence the frost filter to soften it off..:0)

Just Add Ink #361...Choose Two!

Good morning!
Welcome to my post for this weeks Just Add Ink challenge!  Kelly has given us a fun multiple choice challenge to play with this week. You can choose any two of the elements listed on the banner above.

My two elements are the flowers and some retired Silver glitter Washi.

I've chosen to ink and colour one of the gorgeous new hostess sets from Stampin Up! Available with a qualifying order from June 1st. This one is called Feathery friends and is "oh so cute".
I went basic block colouring using the lovely new 2017/19 Incolour markers, plus two existing ones, Dapper Denim & Peekaboo Peach. Once again l've added the "Hugs" sentiment from the "Lovely words" thinlits....I did warn you that you would be seeing lots of these..:0)

Colour INKspiration #10

Colour INKspiration.

We have a brand new colour challenge happening over at Colour INKspiration. I have to say, these are definitely not my colours as a combination, but l actually had loads of fun using them. I guess sometimes we just need to push ourselves right out of that comfort zone..:0)
I decided to pair them up with Cake Crazy & Foxy Friends, l kind of figured they would fun for cake layers and the Cajun & Smoky were perfect for the foxes.

If you are following the hop you may have just popped in from the blog of the lovely Rose Packer and her fab project. But if not you can see all of the crews inspiration by hopping along to all of their blogs by clicking the next button below.
If you would like to join us and share your project, you can click the Colour INKspiration banner up top to be redirected to the Facebook page, were you can link up and join in.

Just Add Ink #360...Sketch!

It's Friday...yay! That means a brand new Just Add Ink challenge is on. This week  Narelle has supplied a lovely clean sketch for us to play with!

As my Pre-order BBB had arrived, l decided to combine old and new on this one and teamed them with some warmer colours. Night of navy, Delightful Dijon, Emerald Envy and smidge of Gold.

My old...Stylish Stems, Brushstrokes B/G, and stitched framelits.
My new...The "Lovely Words" thinlits, dissected to create the Hugs! This bundle is sure to see a lot of love from me..:0)

It's something a little different in style for me, but l rather like it!

Don't forget to pop over to the challenge blog for lot's more inspiration from the design team!

Stamp Review Crew...Thoughtful Banners!

 Stamp Review Crew

It's time to hop with the Stamp Review Crew and this time we are showcasing the sentiment set "Thoughtful banners".
I always feel a little intimidated when using a sentiment only set, but when teamed with some other fun elements which is generally its purpose, it really is a fun set for creating that personalized sentiment.
If you follow the hop by clicking the "Next" banner, you will see some fabulous inspiration from the crew and see how easy and fun this set is.
You may have just arrived from the blog of the lovely Charlet Mallet and her inspiring project, but if not, you can click any of the links or banners to begin at the start or follow the along the hop.

For my project l combined the fairly new to me Dragonfly Dreams bundle and some clear block watercolouring on the lovely Shimmer cardstock.
The colours on this one are Crumbcake, Whisper White, Sweet Sugarplum & Mint Macaron.

Here's another one l made at the same time using Sweet Sugarplum & Pear Pizazz. The glimmer paper on this one is from some long ago Christmas scraps, but is not Stampin Up!

Now you are off to be inspired by the fab talents of Jessica williams

Just Add Ink #359...Inspiration!

Happy Mothers Day weekend!

Kim has supplied our lovely inspiration challenge at Just Add Ink this week and it is perfect for creating a Mothers Day card.
I have opted to go rather literal with this one, using the gorgeous "Definitely Dahlia" image stamped in Rich Razzleberry and over stamped the watercolour image from "Perpetual Calendar" with Soft Sky.
To add some extra glitz and a bit of a whimsical feel, l used the retiring "Gorgeous Grunge" (insert sad face) embossed in gold.
The sentiment is from the "Birthday Blast" set, (also retiring) and embossed in gold on vellum cardstock.

The rest of the design team have created some gorgeous and inspiring projects, so don't forget to hit the link above and check them out.

Colour INKspiration #09

 Colour INKspiration

Wow!...That two weeks just flew!  It's Colour INKspiration  time again and that means a brand new colour palette to play with!
These colours are not ones l would normally reach for, well together that is. But once l started playing l decided l really love this combination and had fun creating my sample!

I love the Garden in Bloom stamp set and decided it needed some more love. And l thought it worked well for these colours, as l like the soft watercolour effect of the second image. Plus l discovered the bee body stamp works really well for the flower center too...You probably already new that though..:0)
If you have been following the hop you would have arrived from the  talented Rachel Palmieri and her beautiful project. But if not you can keep hopping along and see all of the design crews designs by clicking the link or banner above.

Now you are off to see the fabulous inspiration from  Lou Kitzelman.

Just Add Ink #358...Stitching!

Happy Friday lovelies!...I hope your week has been a good one!

This weeks Just Add Ink challenge is suggested by Rochelle. She would like us to add stitching to our projects, whether it be pulling out the Singer, using stitched dies, or even faux paper pierced stitching. Any of these will do just fine.

I've chosen the simple option of stitched dies and a wee bit of piercing for my project. I teamed them with some pretty pastels, Crisp Cantaloupe and Soft Sky to be exact and water coloured on some SU Shimmer cardstock using the watercolour pencils, it is super sparkly IRL.
I really love this big bloom from the Birthday Blooms set and decided that this challenge was perfect for showing it some love!

Make sure you pop over to the challenge blog and check out the stunning projects from the rest of the design team and hopefully you will be inspired to join us!
