Colour INKspiration...Design team!

Happy 2017 everyone!...Hope it's a year filled with all of your dreams!

I have some exciting news to share; I’m on the Colour INKspiration Crew! It consists of a team of talented Aussie and NZ Stampin' Up! ® Demonstrators that create projects based on Pinterest inspired colour swatches.
There’s also a Facebook group for Stampin' Up! ® enthusiasts who would like to share their paper craft projects using the colour combinations.
Here’s the deal - Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7 pm (AEDT), a new colour swatch will be uploaded to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group and the Colour INKspiration Crew will get the ball rolling by providing inspiration for each challenge with a blog hop. Our first one starts on Wednesday, 11th January.
Members of the group have the option to join the Colour INKspiration 'Challenge' by uploading photos of their projects and can link back to their personal blog if they wish to.
Make sure you click on the link below and ask to join Colour INKspiration, add the group to your favourites and share it with your crafty friends so they can join in with the challenges too.
Hope to see you there!

Just Add Ink#342...Add "N"

JAI #343...N

With one last challenge before the jolly fat man arrives, l thought l would take the opportunity to wish you all a very "Merry Christmas" and a big thank you to everyone that has stopped by my blog, commented, pinned and emailed throughout the challenge year. It is very heartwarming to know that l can inspire you on occasion and that what l do may bring a smile to you... So thanks again, l really appreciate the time you take to make me smile in return with your lovely comments.

Our last Just Add Ink  challenge for 2016 is to add "N". Our letter challenges were the brain child of Tina and have been hugely popular and so much fun!
This challenge will run for two weeks and we will be back on the  20th January 2017 with some exciting and fun new challenges.

My "N" elements are pretty obvious "Night of Navy" & a "New Year" sentiment, teamed with "Star of Light" and the delicious Copper foil and embossing powder...Love! Although not all that easy to photograph..lol

While scrolling through Pinterest, l came across a tutorial for these super cute bottle sleeves over on King's on Paddington blog. Carolyn has kindly supplied the measurements for AU cardstocks and also a link to the tutorial she followed.

The design team have some fab ideas for adding "N', don't forget to check those out!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New year to you all!

Just Add Ink #341...Colour!

We have a brand new challenge over at Just Add Ink  This week Kim has given us some lovely fresh colours to play with.

I have created two cards for this challenge, using the same colours (obviously) and the same basic design.

I couldn't resist colouring up this sweet little guy from the "Merry Mice" stamp set...I matched the colours as close as possible to my copics and although he looks a little on the brownish side on his pants, l did use the same copic colours on all of the green elements and you can see his hat is a pretty close match to Old Olive.
His carol book and white sections on the hat got a very liberal dose of Wink of Stella and lve added some dimension to his nose, eyes and music notes with Crystal effect....neither being all that easy to see, the heading pic probably gives you the best view...:0)

I've also teamed up the colours with "Totally Trees" to create a fun tropical card for a friend heading of on an island cruise...lucky thing!
Not a lot else to say about this one...:0)

The design team have provided some great inspiration for you, so pop over and take a peek at those.

Just Add Ink #340...Gift Tags!

With Christmas only days away, it's time to think about our packaging and this week over at Just Add Ink Jan has challenged us to "Add Tags"...perfect timing for gift giving!

I revisited a couple of my Christmas bundles for these, Merriest Wishes & Pretty Pines and decided to go all girly with my colours using Pink Pirouette, Pear Pizzazz, white & Gold accents.
It was nice to step away from my Mint Macaron obsession and makes some pretties with other colours!

Don't forget to stop by the challenge blog and check out the fab tag ideas from the rest of the design team.

Just Add Ink #339...Sketch!

Eeek!...Only 23 sleeps until Christmas! Can you believe how fast 2016 has gone? I'm sure we only just had Easter...lol

Well in the spirit of Christmas creating, l have another Christmas card to share using this weeks sketch from Narelle at Just Add Ink.
I love the clean lines and decided l needed to stick with a clean and crisp design. I have used the cute "Twinkle Trees" stamp set embossed in Gold and teamed it with Mint Maccaron. I love the bokeh images in this set, they work great for adding detail without imposing on the focal image.

The design team have created some gorgeous projects with the sketch, so don't forget to swing by the challenge blog and check them out!

Just Add Ink #338...Inspiration!

JAI #339...Insp.

Happy Friday everyone!

Jan has given us some fun and colourful inspiration for this weeks Just Add Ink challenge.

I have used the fun "Totally Trees" stamp set in Bermuda Bay-Tempting Turquoise-Pacific Point & Real Red to create a non greeting specific card that could be used for many occasions.
The images in this set are really cute and allow for heaps of variations...love it!

The rest of the design team have come up with some very inspiring projects, so pop over and take a peek at those.

Stamp Review Crew..."Picture Perfect Edition"

 Stamp Review Crew

Welcome to the "Picture Perfect" edition of Stamp Review Crew.

I really love this set, but to be honest l have rarely used any of the images other than the rose & leaves....So my plan was to create at least one sample for this hop using the lovely and detailed starfish to create a non specific card.
I used Soft Suede and Crumbcake with whisper White and added texture with some retired SU Jute ribbon.
Although you cant really see it in the pic, l have added a generous speckle of the Gold wink of stella and some Gold twine to give it a lift. It's so sparkly IRL.

For this first card l used generational layers of Blushing Bride, Crisp Cantaloupe & Flirty Flamingo and for the leaves l used Pear Pizzazz, stamping off for the layers.
The flowers received a generous coating of Wink of Stella.

You may have come from the fab blog of Heidi Baks and her no doubt inspiring project, so if you are happy hopping along just click the "Next" button below. But if you have just arrived here  and would like to go from the start, just click the SRC banner above.

Next on the hop is the "Oh so talented" Tanya Boser with her fabulous project.

Just Add Ink #336...Colour!

Hello!....Well l'm back from a whirlwind few days in Brisbane for Stampin Up's On-Stage live event and to say l'm just a little excited, overwhelmed and sooo tired is an understatement..:0)
It was a fabulous and fun way to spend a few days with some lovely friends. But reality has kicked in and the struggle is real...time to get creating!

Our challenge over at Just Add Ink  this week is all about these pretty colours!  During "Onstage" l received the brand new "Swan Lake" stamp set in prize patrol. And although this is definitely not a set l would normally choose, l thought l would step outside my comfort zone and see if l could come up with something l liked...:0)

I stamped, water coloured and sponged all images on some SU Shimmer c/stock and used the fab "New" stitched framelits to create the oval.
The sentiment is from another "New" stamp set that we were lucky enough to receive in our check in bags, called "Suite Sentiments"...Loving the versatile sentiments in this set.

Both of these sets will be available in the Occasions catalogue on the 4th of January 2017 and will coincide with the release of the fab new Sab products as well.

Not that it photographed all that well, but there is a whole lot of Wink of Stella sparkle happening too!

I also have another card l made using these colours, to which l have added a "Neutral" Crumbcake, which we do allow in our colour challenges by the way..:0)

Don't forget to swing by the challenge blog for some more fab inspiration from the design team.
